Art & Technology

Recommended for AS / A2, Foundation or equivalent students.

Capacity: 30 places.

How do artists respond to the possibilities that new technologies provide for their artwork? Since the early days of photography, through to the development of the internet, artists have continually been influenced by new technologies. This session will enable students to investigate how artists have both embraced and challenged the opportunities that technology has presented to them.

Students will also explore Nick Crowe’s exhibition and discuss how he uses technology in his work. Art & Technology will present students with new ways to consider how technology could influence their work. The session will be broken into a lecture and exhibition visit.

Led by Paul Needham, artist and visiting lecturer at the University of Chester.
