The HOME Film Podcast returns, reviewing July 2022’s film highlights with our host Karen Gabay. New release films discussed are Hit the Road (Fri 29 Jul), Robust (Fri 22 Jul), and The Big City (Fri 22 Jul) – back in cinemas as part of the BFI’s delayed Satyajit Ray centenary celebration. Rachel Hayward also sat down Brian and Charles (Fri 8 Jul) director Jim Archer to talk through making the hilarious and heart-warming new feature.
We also spoke to Andy Murray and Andy Willis about some of the special one-off events coming up in Jul, including the screening of classic film Hell is a City (Mon 25 Jul), in celebration of the life of Cornerhouse and HOME contributor CP Lee. We spoke to Andy Murray about our upcoming Dr Who Classic Movie Double Bill (Sun 10 Jul), and we also sat down with Omar Ahmed to talk through Cinema Rediscovered: When Europe Made Hollywood classic film season, where we’re screening titles such as Casablanca and The Killers, to name a few.
