See your work on our walls

Fancy seeing your art work on the walls here at Cornerhouse? Well we are now renewing our call for submissions for Cornerhouse Projects, our regular exhibition strand dedicated to artists from the North of England. Cornerhouse Projects takes place in the main public spaces in the building – so our busy café and bar areas. This dynamic social environment is the hub for people visiting us for a whole range of activities, from watching films and visiting exhibitions, to meeting friends, buying books and artwork. Cornerhouse Projects makes full use of this context and has a unique position alongside the major exhibitions of international contemporary art in our three galleries. It is also our main commercial platform – all of the work on display is for sale, and we are having increasing success with securing buyers.

Due to the nature of the location, the type of artwork that works best is 2D wall-based. Exhibitions can include new or existing work, and last for four to six weeks. We are open to submissions for solo showcases, group shows, or the work of collectives and collaborations. In the past we have displayed photography, drawing, collage, photomontage, graphic design and CGI. Previous artists who have exhibited with Cornerhouse Projects have gone on to have solo shows in the region, and have made a real start in selling their work and coming to the attention of prospective buyers.
