The gallery, located in Haunch of Venison Yard, was once the home of Lord Nelson.

As part of a season of events celebrating British Design, the V&A (31 May – 30 September 2012) is presenting the first museum exhibition of the work of Haunch of Venison design-artist Thomas Heatherwick known for his adventurous and original use of manufacturing processes and materials across the disciplines of architecture, art and design. One of Britian’s most celebrated artists working today is Richard Long who is exhibiting at The Hepworth Wakefield (23 June – 14 October 2012) and who features significantly in Haunch of Venison’s publications list. Titles available by Richard Long include Karoo Highveld – Works from Suith Africa; Selected Statements and Interviews; and Here and Now and Then.

In June 2012, and again concentrating on the theme of Land Art, Haunch of Venison’s London gallery presents the first UK solo exhibition of American artist Nancy Holt. The accompanying catalogue, Nancy Holt: Photoworks, will soon be available to purchase online from Cornerhouse.

The London Olympic Torch, designed by creative duo Barber Osgerby has picked-up numerous accolades including the Design Museum’s Design of the Year award for 2012. Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby are two of the most innovative designers working in Britain today and last year their gallerist Haunch of Venison hosted their Ascent exhibition, for which they also published a catalogue – available here on-line.

Haunch of Venison’s recent exhibition, Jamie Shovlin: Various Arrangements has also been a popular show, and we are continuing to sell the accompanying exhibition catalogue. In 2013, Cornerhouse will be exhibiting the work of Jamie Shovlin in our own gallery spaces, which will not only be an exciting chance to show this artist’s work, but also a significant opportunity to directly collaborate on an exhibition with this innovative gallery.
