Last Night Gala – Report

Tonight was the Last Night At Central Library Gala. Following on from the final night of The Importance Of Being Earnest, the Library Theatre Company assembled extracts from past works to perform on the stage for one last time.

The night was held in aid of the Library Theatre Development Trust and funds raised will help fund our Community & Education programmes.

With tributes from stars of the stage and screen, it was an exciting and emotional night and a fitting way to say goodbye to the Central Library stage for one last time. The night ended with a champagne toast with the entire audience, cast and crew toasting the Library Theatres past and also it’s future as we embark on an exciting journey that should lead us to a new permanent home. At the end of the proceedings, the stage lights were turned out one last time.

Featured here are photos taken during the performance and a video montage set to the soundtrack of the final song.
