HOME Film Podcast #56: May 2020

After a short break while we all reconfigure ourselves to lockdown, the HOME film podcast is BACK to guide you through your at-home viewing while our doors are closed.

Find out what Jason Wood, Rachel Hayward and Andy Willis think  about the temporary closure of cinemas due to coronavirus, why Jason thinks the release of Trolls World Tour is a seminal moment for the industry and why the lockdown has provided film fans with opportunities as well as challenges.

The films discussed this month is Calm With Horses which opened before lockdown but had its run curtailed and is now available to watch at home, the South African film Moffy, which has both shocking moments and incredible performances, and Women Make Film, Mark Cousins’ epic 14-hour roadtrip through overlooked women filmmakers, which Rachel says “encourages us to feel delight that we have this opportunity to discover these films.”

We’ll be giving away three copies of Women Make Film to watch at home on Monday, May 18 – follow us on Twitter or Instagram to be in with a chance of winning a copy for yourself.
