Great PR minds required

In Spring 2015 HOME, a new £25 million contemporary arts organisation, will open in Manchester.

HOME is the result of a merger between established arts organisations Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company (LTC) and will deliver a provocative new proposition for contemporary visual art, film and theatre. HOME is vital to the ambitious cultural regeneration strategy for the city and the project is backed by Manchester City Council and Arts Council England.

We’re seeking an experienced supplier to work with us to develop and implement a PR and communications strategy covering the lead up to and the opening of the venue (Nov 2013 to July 2015 approx).

The brief is extensive, but in a nutshell you will be required to create maximum exposure for: the Artistic team and the Chief Executive; the interim theatre programme for HOME; the opening of the venue and the opening programme. You will also be required to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the success of the strategy.

We are interested in submissions from teams and freelance individuals. However, to be considered for the project you must be able to demonstrate experience of delivering similar, successful campaigns for arts organisations and have a strong working knowledge of specialist press for contemporary visual arts, theatre and film. A great track record in harnessing the power of social media as an integrated part of your campaigns is also an advantage!

The deadline for submissions is 12:00noon on Mon 4 November. If you would like submit a proposal, please contact Clare Sydney, Director of Marketing and Communications first for an informal conversation and if appropriate she will send you the full brief and details of what is required in your submission:
