You can certainly tell it’s the year of the London Olympics… This month the Hayward Gallery in London has launched a major duo of ‘Best of British’ exhibitions on the work of two of our most celebrated artists – David Shrigley and Jeremy Deller.
David Shrigley’s Brain Activity show (1 February – 13 May) has recently opened and apparently the crowds are gathering. We’re selling and distributing the catalogue, which with a deluge of advanced orders has already proved to be incredibly popular and will surely become one of our bestselling titles ever! It also comes with a funky 7″ vinyl record of new Shrigley songs.
Jeremy Deller’s eagerly anticipated Joy in People show opens to the public on 22 February (running until 13 May). Incorporating almost all of the diverse works across his career, it also prominently features Cornerhouse’s very own Deller commission from 2009, Procession (it’s p.166-173 of the catalogue, if you’re keen to know!).
