We’ve loved seeing our audiences return since we reopened our doors in September. This week is another exciting one, with the return of our visual arts programme in the gallery, the World Premiere of a brand-new show from RashDash, and an incredible film programme including the classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the gorgeous 4k restoration of Cinema Paradiso, plus new releases Summer of 85, Wolfwalkers and The Other Lamb, among others.
There have been so many amazing messages sent to us on Twitter – we wanted to share just a handful about the experience of visiting the cinema and theatre post-lockdown for those of you who are thinking about returning to see us but need a tiny bit of extra reassurance:

In really uncertain times @HOME_mcr offers you somewhere safe where the staff really care about your experience. I have loved escaping there since September and they have some cracking films to come. Whilst they remain open, I'm in. 👍 pic.twitter.com/2NFuU3TWM2

Great to see live (socially distanced) event in an actual theatre tonight. Well done @YoungIDmcr @KatBROWNSUGAR @HOME_mcr and good luck with the book. Looks great. Made even better by seeing @steppinrazor55 @JohnMIF @davemoutrey in the actual (thankfully fully clothed) flesh. pic.twitter.com/KYQIFVJjzC

This week’s announcement about Greater Manchester moving into Tier 3 will affect our bar somewhat – you won’t be able to order alcohol without a meal – but rest assured, our gallery relaunch is going ahead safely on Friday, and our theatre and cinema screens remain open for you to enjoy. You can find out more about what to expect from your visit, and what we’re doing to keep you safe, by clicking here.
Have you been to HOME since we reopened? We’d love to hear from you – tweet us and tag @HOME_mcr or @HOMEmcr on Instagram to let us know what your experience was like.
