As part of our first season we’ve teamed up with BE Festival, Birmingham’s brilliantly acclaimed festival of international performance to bring you four highlights from this year’s festival. Voted among the UK’s top 50 festivals this year by the Sunday Times, Best of BE FESTIVAL showcases some of the most exciting European theatre from the last year.
You’ve got a comic and disarmingly personal dance solo from Hungary’s Radioballet. Austria’s Julia Schwarzbach invites you to play along in a feast of improvisation. Belgium’s Mokhallad Rasem puts on a haunting collage of film and movement exploring the experience of waiting. And we’re lucky enough to have an extra production added to our line-up from UK based Jamie Wood – a brilliantly bonkers performance about being a younger brother and a bad loser.
Have a look at what audiences have been saying about the productions…
“Loved this. Utterly charming, fun, playful and impeccably performed”
“Such a simple idea but executed and devised wonderfully. Inspiring! I wanted to start doing my own version right away”
“So powerful, lovely use of visual media…a very human perspective on a touching idea”
You’ll watch all four of the productions and get the chance to sit with the performers and your fellow audience members sharing an informal dinner half way through the evening. So there will be plenty of opportunity to chat about the night’s theatre delights.
