Here at HOME, we are committed to best sustainable policy and practice. Working hard to reduce our environmental impacts, we continually monitor and report on our activities in order to better understand and improve our performance. Through training and knowledge-sharing we enable our staff to become Carbon Literacy champions, supporting and inspiring our communities, audiences, partners and stakeholders through action and engagement. As ambassadors for change we actively support Manchester’s Zero Carbon strategies, and as cultural leaders we advance the growth of our sector through innovative low-carbon initiatives and endeavours. With sustainability fully embedded into the heart of our organisation, its operations and programming, our efforts today strengthen a creative green future for tomorrow. Check out the pages below to find out more about the many activities, commitments and initiatives that contribute to our sustainable HOME.

In December 2018 we joined Julie’s Bicycle’s Creative Green – an international community of pioneering creative organisations recognised for their ambition and action on environmental sustainability. Creative Green is the only environmental certification designed specifically for the creative and cultural sector. We are so proud to have been awarded 4 stars out of a possible 5 in our first year of joining the community!
