Stars Are Fire

re:play

“Everyone I know in the world is in Manchester. Hundreds of miles away.”

When Carly’s mum dies, her Dad decides they need a fresh start ‘back home’ in Northumberland, but Carly’s home is Manchester, it’s what she knows and who she is. As she struggles to adjust to their new, cold, lonely life, she wonders how well her dad really knows her and if he cares at all.

Whilst her Dad tries to start again, Carly just wants everything back the way it was. Distance grows further between them when Carly forms an unlikely friendship with her distant cousin, Lou. Though Lou is nothing like her friends from the city, Carly soon realises they have more in common than she thought.
