A muscular thriller that centres on Nicholas Tse’s psychologically battered cop and Nick Cheung’s desperate and warped assassin, Beast Stalker is one of his best. This film took Lam’s work to a new level and with its kinetic visual style contributed to the re-imagining of the Hong Kong crime film.
