Reaching for the Moon

Set in Brazil at the height of 1950s glamour, this drama recounts the extraordinary relationship between two remarkable artists who discover an incredible love. Searching for inspiration, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Elizabeth Bishop travels to Brazil to stay with an old college friend. There she meets the love of her life, architect Lota de Macedo Soares. At first, the fiery personalities of the two women collide, leading to passion-fuelled debates. But animosity quickly turns to attraction and desire.
