En el último trago + Q&A

Directed by Jack Zagha Kababie

This highly enjoyable road trip buddy movie embroils its octogenarian travellers in a series of comic misadventures as they make their way through rural Mexico. Travelling at a suitably sedate pace, they soon prove the old adage that slow and steady really does win the race. Struggling with the modern world, and fuelled by a little tequila, the old timers find there are still plenty of adventures to be had in your twilight years, even if more frequent bathroom stops are required!

We are delighted to welcome co-writer and producer Yossy Zagha Kababie to present his second feature film in collaboration with his brother Jack, En el último trago, which confirms them both as masters of the comedy genre.

Born in Mexico City, Yossy graduated from the School of Communications at the University of Texas in Austin. His professional career began in the publicity field, working as a copywriter for the Hispanic market in the United States. In 2005, Yossy returned to Mexico City to found Avanti Pictures along with his brother Jack, where he serves as screenwriter and producer. Yossy has produced various short films, high-profile publicity campaigns and three feature films, among them En el último trago (2014) and Adiós mundo cruel (2010), both of which won awards at international film festials and had a commercial run in Mexican theatres. His third film Almacenados (Warehoused) will soon premiere in festivals.

We are pleased to welcome co-writer and producer Yossy Zagha Kababie to present his film on Thu 18 Jun and for a Q&A following the screening on Sat 20 Jun.
