In 1982 Canadian rock band, and self-titled “demigods of Canadian metal”, Anvil gained fans and recognition with their second album, Metal on Metal, but soon after faded into obscurity. Fast forward 26 years and director Gervasi is given carte-blanche access to the band, now in their 50s, as they still touchingly follow their rock dream. Confrontations and near breakdowns are recorded with affection as the rockers forge forward, never giving up in the face of apparently endless setbacks.
