Cast your minds back to just one year ago when we made a performance out of leaving Cornerhouse for HOME. From Panama but based in Manchester, artist Humberto Vélez enlisted a mega team of musicians, performers and community groups to literally storm the building, aided and abated by music programmer and DJ Greg Thorpe. So it’s only right that we show Humberto’s film of the event, The Storming Film, get everyone together for an informal reunion and have a little Latin beat-tinged party for everyone in the bar until late. Well, there’s always something to be celebrated and closed, this time it’s our first ¡Viva! Festival at HOME.

Ticket holders should meet outside the main entrance to HOME at 17:15. There will be a short performance in Tony Wilson Place, in homage to the event last year. The screening of The Storming Film will follow in Cinema 1 at 18:00.

Missed out on a ticket?

Fear not, you can still join us in the bar from 21:00 for the ¡Viva! Closing Party. It’s free to attend and no tickets are necessary. Everyone is welcome – come and dance!
