re:play 2011

The Library Theatre Company joins forces with Contact for the first time to present Manchester’s fourth re:play Festival – the event which brings together the most exciting new theatre from the last 12 months on Manchester’s fringe for an exclusive ‘second chance to see’.

All the time in Manchester and Salford, brand new and inspiring theatre is being produced in non-traditional venues like Studio Salford, Taurus and at the excellent 24:7 Theatre Festival. Even the best of this work runs only for a short time so fewer people than might like to, get to see it.

View the festival brochure below or browse the events from the menu or visit our What’s On Page.

re:play is your chance to see what you missed out on the first time around. Or perhaps to see again what you thought was so good the first time around.

The re:play Festival also includes the re:play debate, which this year will run on the theme Who Does Theatre Belong To? and be hosted by Contact’s Baba Israel.

First Stage is a Festival strand which offers writers, devisers and performers the chance to test ideas under development in front of a public audience.

New in 2011, Pitch Party will offer young artists the chance to pitch an idea for a new work to The Library Theatre Company and Contact Theatre. One winning idea will be chosen to go forward for development.
