Come along for a sneak preview of our original new exhibition Magda Archer: Crazy Mad. This solo painting show is a joyous riot of colour and kitsch, drawing upon and responding to the artist’s personal collection of vintage paraphernalia, from sweet wrappers to greeting cards, gift wrap, plastic toys, china ornaments and album covers. Drenching the walls in an acidic, candy-coloured palette, the resulting pop-art portraits and surreally paired statements in hand tooled fonts are both uplifting and unnerving.
Magda Archer will be present in person, signing copies of an accompanying catalogue of work. A limited edition print will also be on sale.
