Carl Grose’s adaption of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale for the brilliant Kneehigh Theatre Company uses rhyme and riddle to tell the dark and twisting tale of two children lost in the woods tempted by a house made of sweets. Grose’s version revels in the grotesque merriment of a child eating witch and the naïve wonder of the two siblings trying to find their way home.
