This French film study session will encourage GCSE level attendees to express their opinions of this enjoyable film in both written and spoken French.

L’Elève Ducobu explores themes of family, friendship and education in France and these topics will be introduced before the film using both English language and key French phrases. The screening will be followed by an interactive cinema-based session, when students will complete GCSE level languages exercises using their new vocabulary.

Based on the Belgian comic book series by Godi and Zidrou, this school-based comedy is dedicated to intelligent dunces. Eleven-year-old Ducobu is an incorrigible kid, who has just been expelled from yet another school… but he is ready to prove his mettle in unexpected  ways to become the hero of the moment.
