This Autumn we’re running an intensive course in theatre directing led by established director Cheryl Martin (Associate Director at Contact, Resident Director at The Traverse, Edinburgh: MEN Theatre Award and Edinburgh Fringe First) alongside invited established directors and theatre makers.
The course will:
- Develop an understanding of planning and running a rehearsal.
- Equip participants with a range of practical skills for working with actors and approaching texts.
- Offer an insight into different practices through masterclasses with industry professionals.
- Provide an opportunity to direct a short scene with professional actors.

Places are limited and we will be holding informal interviews on Tues 6 September. Please note this opportunity is for those who have limited experience of theatre directing and all applicants must be 18+.
