We’re winners in the Into Film Awards!

The team of 15 young filmmakers from across Greater Manchester and the North West who were nominated for Best Film (13 years old and over) in the prestigious Into Film Festival 2015 awards triumphed yesterday.

Their film, Fall, which was created in 2013 as part of our second BFI Film Academy, was named the winner by a panel which included some of the leading names in the British film industry, including directors Sir Alan Parker (Evita, Mississippi Burning), Peter Kosminsky (Wolf Hall, Wuthering Heights), and Edgar Wright (Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz).

Many members of the team – Angus Bentham, Robert Blythe, Sarah Carroll, Jack Clare, Samuel Coulduck, Stephanie Cowley, Chloe Crolla-Maas, Bysshe Harkavy, Georgie Howarth-Evans, Shelby Maddock, Joe Morris, Hugh Nelson, Jack Walter Simmons, Maggie Stanaszek, and Tremayne Taylor – travelled to London’s world-famous Empire Leicester Square cinema for the ceremony, which was hosted by Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson.

Huge congratulations to the whole team!
