Kick off your weekend in style

This Friday we’ve got a packed evening with three previews, great music and of course fantastic food and drink…

From 18:00 our main gallery features the preview and UK debut of a major new exhibition from Lebanese artists Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige , I must first apologise…, an exploration of the history of online spam and scamming through installations, sounds, videos, sculptures and drawings.

The first 100 visitors to arrive at the preview on Friday will receive a special gift – an exclusive ticket price of £10 on all seats for any performance of our forthcoming theatre production, La Mélancolie des Dragons, a poetic and playful blend of theatre and visual art from international artist Philippe Quesne, the artistic director of Nanterre-Amandiers Theatre in Paris. Featuring a car, a dog, classic rock, metal heads, medieval recorders and a snowy stage, it’s a visually stunning mix of imagination, music, and quirky comedy.

Upstairs in our Granada Foundation galleries we present the latest HOME Project, DR. ME: Choice Cuts, a selection of pieces from the recent exhibition 365 Days of Collage.

And the ever inventive Kneehigh bring our stage to life with the preview night of Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other long songs). Expect wit, wonder and weirdness.

Providing a musical backdrop to the night will be local DJ duo Wasp Nest who have partnered with violinist Jote Osahn to present an electro-acoustic soundscape and as always our Café bar will be serving great food and drink to make this an unforgettable night.

See you there!
