Digital Cities is coming to Manchester…

…and you don’t want to miss it.

From Mon 14 to Fri 18 November, Digital Cities: Manchester offers an exciting week of practical hands-on workshops, masterclasses from leading industry experts and conference-style events delivered by the BBC, Creative Skillset and many other exciting partner venues across the city, including ITVManchester Animation Festival, Manimation, Salford University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Autotrader, The Digital Production Partnership and The Sharp Project.

The week provides a fantastic opportunity to bring together everyone working in the digitally creative industries, to promote cross-sector collaboration, explore new partnerships and develop skills in the next set of digital innovations. The majority of events are free and open to anyone working in or hoping to work within Manchester’s digital creative industries sector.

Here at HOME, you will be able to enjoy a private tour of Wot u :-) about?, an exhibition of new work by Rachel Maclean, who was one of 2016’s Frieze Film artists and will represent Scotland at the Venice Biennale next year. The tour will be led by co-curator Bren O’Callaghan on Thu 17 Nov at 18:00. Places are free but must be booked in advance.

Digital Cities: Manchester builds on successful initiatives in Bristol and Birmingham, and responds to the key findings of the BBC’s landmark English Regions Skills Review.
