We are looking for individuals to be part of a community company who will join the cast of Angel Meadow, our first site-specific production for HOME. Angel Meadow is a newly commissioned production by ANU Productions, a multi award winning company, heralded by the Irish Times as making the “most searing works of the past decade”.
This is not an opportunity for professional actors but a community ensemble of local people interested in performance who can commit fully to all the times and dates detailed below:
- We are looking for local people who have good availability for rehearsals from Mon 19 May and for performances from Tue 10 – Sun 29 June 2014.
- We will be creating three teams of community actors to alternate performances so although we don’t require people to be free for every date, at the moment we are looking for people who are generally available throughout May and June who live within easy travelling distance from Ancoats.
- In the week beginning Mon 2 June, you will be needed most days and evenings (including Sat 7 and Sun 8 June) for the technical rehearsal week and the first public performances.
- After that there will be performances from Tue 10 – Sun 29 June (no performances on Mondays).
- There is no payment but we will provide some travel expenses.
