Art is Everywhere on BBC 6Music

This weekend, tune into the BBC 6Music breakfast show with Mary Anne Hobbs, and create an original piece of art inspired by the music, sounds and conversation on the show.

Listen from 07:00 – 10:00 and use whatever kind of materials you have to hand to – be it bananas, biros, buttons, wool, poster paints, chalk, charcoal, glitter, emulsion, breakfast cereal – to sculpt, paint or draw your piece.

Once you’ve finished, tweet a photo to @bbc6music using the hashtag #6musicmakeart or email it to maryanne.6music@bbc.co.uk. The best artwork will be published in an online gallery and displayed around MediaCityUK.

Mary Anne’s breakfast show will feature interviews with artists including David Shrigley, Judith Kerr, Kirsty Wark, Oliver Jeffers, Justine Frischmann and Courtney Barnett. Artists Klara Lewis and Andea Byrne will also be creating original sound-art pieces made up of extracts and out-takes of audio from the BBC studios.
